It’s not a yeti, but it’s a good quality cooler for the price

If you are careful, the lid won't pop off of the poor design hinge "buttons".Anything past straight up open, it will come off. Once off, putting it back in place will further damage the buttons. A shame, because everything else is top class. So nice i kept it and will fix the hinge.A retaining strap should have been on it.3 stars because it is basically a good cooler.

Igloo coolers are best made, designed, and nice-looking on the market. They hold cold for a long time, are tough as nails, and in the many years I've used them, never failed. GET ONE.

Very nice size cooler big enough to hold a lot of stuff but small enough that it doesn’t take a forklift to pick it up. it’s very well insulated, some reviews said no insulation in the lid mine has insulation in the lid that Customer may have gotten a defective one very pleased would definitely buy again. I bought the 54 qt I’m probably gonna buy the 92 qt another day. I bought it for the back of a Jetski and bought a big ant basket attached it with straps cooler fits right in. I’ve been fishing offshore for 30 years I still have to the old gott 172’s but this is a nice well-made cooler, well worth the money especially compared to the $300 rotomold crap which are too heavy and to costly and don’t hold ice any better.

Buying a cooler is a long process , I don’t own a boat so this isn’t being used on a boat.I was in the market for a sub $100 cooler.I purchased 4 coolers to test.Igloo marine ultraIgloo Super tough StxIgloo latitude 50Coleman xtremeThe test:Load each with 1 pound of ice ; check every 24 hours.I’m not going to write the details about the test but igloo latitude was the worse it’s temperature rose from 42 to 60 in 12 hours.Coleman Xtreme went from 42 to 60 in 36 hoursIgloo Marine and STX went from 42 to 61 in 39 hours. As the Coleman was slightly bigger than I was looking for we didn’t go for this cooler. I think it was the best of the four. It’s size didn’t fit into my trunk and was eliminated from being an option.Igloo latitude was junk, it was thin and was easily the worst with ice.Igloo Marine and Stx are basically the same cooler, it looks as if StX gets some orange highlights but weighs which felt the same and lasted the same time for ice.Stx cost $30 more than Marine so Marine won our test. It’s 5 stars cause it’s really cheap compared to others on the market. We may just do a video to show which coolers worked best if we find more sub $100 coolers.Update:It has been over a year with the cooler and we have found the ice packs and ice do not last without proper treatment in prep for a trip. Our test was flawed as we did this outside and it wasn’t extremely hot. The cooler sits in a dark, bumpy place called the truck mostly. This doesn’t seem to lend to a perfect environment. For the most optimal ice retention, the night before you go or even a few hours before you leave dump as much ice as you can into the cooler. Even cool water seems to help lower the temperature of the cooler. Also an insulated bag at the top helps. We’ve had beer stay cool( didn’t say cold) for two days. Anything longer than two days would be it. I’ve updated from 5 stars to 4.

Returned a Yeti 65 ($400) and bought this cooler ($50) because I know somebody would just steal the Yeti off my CC boat. This cooler isn't going to hold your ice for 2 weeks like the yeti but it will hold it all day in 100 degree weather while you fish and if it does happen to disappear off my boat it won't hurt as bad as it would if it were a yeti. This is a cooler sold in most marinas, its made to be light and fit under a reversible seat or leaning post type seat on most CC boats. It has a drain lug for easy draining and a fish scale ruler on the top lid. Top lid is secured with a wire retention wire. It really is a nice cooler for the price. It is a hollow cooler UNLIKE the YETI type cooler. Hope this helps.

Very happy with this cooler. After drooling over Yeti coolers for a long time I finally realized how much the wall thickness decreases their internal capacity. I needed a cooler that would fit on a small boat or even canoe and still hold up to 2 dozen panfish, or a few 22-28" field dressed lake trout/salmon inside, plus enough ice to keep them cold. The walls of the cooler are about 1.2" on the sides, 1.5" front and back. Internal dimensions are ~24" x 12" which is about what I need. The 54qt size (externally 26" long, 15.5" W) is about as big as practical for a cooler on my 14' canoe. The smaller capacity 45qt Yeti by comparison would be 40" long and way too big. I'd have to get the 35qt, which looks like the volume of a plastic lunchbox inside.I tested it indoors with 3 bags of ice and they kept at least 48 hrs with the cooler sitting at room temp (68 deg). It was still cold inside when I got home and the ice was melted. That's probably fine for 1-2 day trips, or for fishing for 8-10 hrs in the sun and 70-80F temps. The truth is not many people really need to keep ice for 7+ days.
