Instructions for Latch Installation:
- Fully open/extend the top hinge portion of the latch.
- Turn the latch upside down.
- Turn the back side of the latch facing out.
- Using a screwdriver, attach the latch to the cooler using 2 of the screws.
In the closed position, the screws will be hidden, as the latch will fold over itself and hide the screws.
When replacing the latch, it will not be necessary to change the factory placement of the latch post.

The silver latch dont come in individual packs like the hybrid type, so it comes with scratch marks cause by the loose screws inside the same packaging

I have an older igloo max that had plastic latches. These do not allow the lid to sit flush and I had to add weather stripping to help seal the lid.

Great upgrade for my cooler, the plastic latches it came with broke off and were pretty flimsy, but these latches are sturdy and seem to hold up well. Very easy to install and perfect fit.

We have a 35 year old 150 Qt Igloo, used very seldom... maybe 3 or 4 times. Although the cooler looks new, the sun had dried out one of the plastic hinges and it broke. We bought these Igloo Cooler Stainless Steel Latch with 2-Screw Winged Post (2-pk) and they work great! 35 year old cooler looks and works like new. Very pleased.
