BUYER BEWARE! I ordered this on the 4th of January. I installed it on the 11th of January. Sold the vehicle on the 28th and the distributor crapped out on February 5th. Which is one day past the 30 day return window. So calling this a POS would be an insult to an ordinary run-of-the-mill POS. It lasted less than 200 mi.

Bought this distributor for everyday use while I re-seal the original Hitachi. This unit is well machined, fit exactly, and installed in 30 minutes. I doubt it'll last 190K like the oem distributor, but runs fine out-of-the box. Would buy again.

Was working on brother in laws car. Pretty much replacing anything and everything. We needed this and found it here on Amazon. It was pretty much similar to the original. Really easy to replace and it worked perfect. Didn't have no hiccups at all. Solid product.

I used this distributor to fix our 98 Civic that would not start. The car had no spark, and after replacing the distributor, the car started right up. Three months and 1500 miles later, our Civic is still running fine. It's much easier to replace the whole distributor with this unit than trying to figure out what part of 20-year old distributor has gone bad.

It works. But for a daily driver I recommend to change the seals inside and outside of the distributor to make sure that the leak will not occur.

Needed a new ignition coil for my 1997 Civic. It was a better deal to buy a whole new distributor. My car died while driving and wouldn't start. Put this distributor in and it fired right up. It's only been in for a month, but works great so far. Time will tell if it holds up. If it doesn't I will come back and update this review.

Was at first very sceptical of a cheap after-market product living up to the demanding standards of the OEM Japanese made Hitachi. However its been on my car for over 1 month now and there is absolutely no difference in power, idle rate or on the auto transmission electronics! More than satisfied with a a $64 dollar product giving me performance to equal the original OEM distributor which costs some $750+!!!!!!(P.S. Keep Posted and will certainly update in 3-6months time to let everyone know whether the parts used in manufacturing this product lasts or is indeed reliable).

The price was spectacular compared to a dealer. It fit my 2002 Honda Accord LX , built in Mexico, perfectly.I found 2-3 Youtube video's to guide me and the whole thing took 15-20 minutes. Car starts and runs well. Prior to the distributor I had replaced spark plugs and plug wires, much needed but not the ultimate problem.As others have said time will tell if this stays at 5 stars. The original distributor lasted 16 years and 175,000 miles.I have no illusion this one will last that long.....it's a crap shoot whether I will last that long at my age.
