Ignition Switch will not start the bike as it doesn't send a 9v signal for the ecu.It appears upon opening the switch that the manufacturer tried to accommodate kawasaki's anti-theft system by adding a resistor to the output of the Grey wire, unfortunately the resistor used was no good and not placed in the correct location.A simple fix for this if while connected you are receiving 12v on the Grey wire just install a 100ohm resistor online on the Grey wire to reduce it to 9v and the Ignition Switch should now work properly.

Changing locks is not a lot of fun. But if that is what you need to do because you lost your keys, this is the solution. I only ran into one issue. That is that the cable release mechanism on the seat lock was cut 90 degrees off. I had to disassemble the old lock and use the cable release from that one on the new lock to get it to work. But for the price that is a small concern. If you have the skills to replace the lock set you can also change the cable release component.

This actually didn't even fit my kawasaki it did fit my buddy's Suzuki though. I've noticed when I've ordered kawasaki parts they always seem to fit Suzuki instead and vice versa. Not sure what that's about.

I got this and plugged it into my 2015 ninja 300. It wouldn't start, but it would start with my OE. I had to cut the cylinder out of the OE to start it because of a lost key. I had to Google, there's resistors in the original ignition that acts as an anti theft. Please Google this "km10" ignition. You will find the same results I did.

No bolts for ignition switch to triple clamp.original bolts are trash being that you have to drill out for removal. Bolts that are in package are incorrect thread or they’re for gas cap. If you force the original seat lock bolts through the new untapped seat lock it will self tap. At least it did for me. For what I received , it was worth the costs.

Second time buying this, but thr first time was from another vendor. 09 kawasaki ninja. Hope it's the last one I have to buy since the first one broke after about 2 yrs.

The parts was an exact fit, but the lock for the back compartment was not tapped. Had to tap the holes for the compartment lock. Would add a photo but the motorcycle is in the shop.
