Works well, I used two as reverse lights below the license plate and vanity plate as reverse lights on my service truck. They work well and are much brighter than using stock reverse lights. As far as a license plate light, they will definitely get the job done.

I first put a five star review. But after washing down my SXS. I noticed that water gets inside. The light is bright, but the water getting inside is crap. I will have to seal it. That is why I gave it a 4 star.

Only bought it because it was recommended on the G35driver forums as a replacement. Never actually installed it and no longer have the car I was going to use it on. Build quality was questionable though

It is used for exactly what it says especially if your license plate lights have gone out, bought this a few months ago for a 06 Chevy Blazer and it is REALLY BRIGHT! Definitely recommend buying if you need something to illuminate your license plate

Bought due to previous owner using a cheap 3M tape led light for a license plate light that looked terrible. This light was easy to install, and beyond bright. The light is almost too bright, unless you angle it more outwards it almost seconds as a back up light.Disadvantage is it is extremely easy to bend the middle of it. If you think anything will hit it (hitch, kicking it getting into the bed of the truck) it will bend. I accidentally love tapped it with a hitch receiver and it bent. Still works, don’t care about the prettiness of it just the functionality.Overall would buy over and over again.

If I could I wouldn't even give this a star but I have to in order to leave a review... I bought this pos to replace my license plate lights on my cadillac till I could fix the wiring to the main ones... so I had to splice it with the tail lights... And they worked for a second but then suddenly stopped.. and now my tail light does not work any more either I took a multimeter to the connections to see if the tail light wire was holding voltage and NOTHING.. and I know it wasn't like that before because I checked it before I started even messing with any thing... I don't know if this is the cause to my tail light not working for sure ... But I do know they where working perfectly fine before so I'm assuming it was this p.o.s ... It just blows my mind how something that costed me 12 bucks is now goin to cost me in the 100s to fix wtf it damaged

Very bright. Brackets make it easy to place.I mounted it under the hood of my 2004 F150 as an engine bay light. Simple to hook up using a plunger switch. The unit pulls very little amperage, so there's no need for a relay or even an inline fuse (even though I still used a 5A fuse out of habit). The only issue is that the wires are very thin, so you'll need to strip away more insulation and double the wires over to use an 18-22 gauge butt splice connector. Otherwise, I'm totally satisfied with this little light. I'll be ordering a couple more to use as bed lights in the back of my truck.
