This is a wonderful candle for the Christmas Season. The scent is amazing and I am a person who is very picky about scented candles. It also has a very decorative container. I highly recommend it.

This is a very nice gift idea and also to gift yourself with! The scent is hard to describe but if you have ever walked into a very high end store or maybe a place like The Ritz Carlton Hotel. It is a very sophisticated aroma that makes your home warm welcoming. The can it comes in looks beautiful on a countertop, and to snuff out the candle without putting any smoke in your room, just lower the lid onto the burning candle and it immediately goes out, without any smoke. The candle scent is powerful and will fill your entire home fairly quickly, and then you can close it to make your candle last a long time. I wouldn’t use this candle for the ambience of candle light. You can use any cheap candle for that. This one is all about scent. I give it 5 stars!

I bought this candle not knowing how it would smell. It was delivered to me the same day! Y’all, the smell is so wonderful! After burning it for awhile, I stepped outside for a moment, then walked back in. The evergreen element is complimented by the citrus and was so welcoming!I am a fan and will be buying it again. Great combo and love the tin it came in. Kudos to the company!

After reading the reviews, glad I chose this. The initial burn didn’t smell of much, but subsequently the scent started to push through. It’s not overpowering, gives off a fresh “piney” kind of scent. Slightly sweet with a mild woody undertone.

I have purchased these candles over and over. The smell is exactly like a forest of Pine and evergreen trees. Super clean and long lasting. The scent is my favorite because it’s a deep and true smell not like so many other candles that have a cheep fake pine scent. Definitely longer lasting and worth the higher price. They also come in a beautifully decorated can with a cover. I have three homes and each home now has my signature scent from these candles.

Please note that this particular review only applies to this one particular candle, not these candles generally--I have bought many of the Illume "Balsam and Cedar" candles in various sizes and containers, including this one (called a "vanity tin"), many times and absolutely LOVE them in general. The scent is my favorite one for the cooler months of the year so please don't avoid this brand or scent in general. However, this experience was so bad that I had to leave this review with a photo-Amazon billed this as "Used, Very Good" condition but someone should have just thrown it away. It would be a stretch to list this as "Acceptable" condition, but at least that would have warned me it might be a little rough. I often buy the used items and especially if they are described as Like New or Very Good they are generally just fine for my needs, maybe a torn or open box for example. But this one had a completely detached/broken off bottom metal section (see photo, no idea how they even managed that), and there was so much wax on the outside of the container I had to pry it open. Then I was almost sorry I did, because all the wax outside was matched by wax all over the place inside (it must have been upended while the wax was melted/liquid), burnt areas on the top and inside metal areas, blackened and gouged wax and of course, a blackened wick. If it was just a blackened wick and had just been lit before but was otherwise fine I would not have minded--though such should not be listed as Very Good--but this was absolutely not any reasonable person's idea of OK to sell as Very Good. I think it is important to warn people about what might get delivered if they try buying the used items... Amazon should be ashamed to be sending out this sort of junk to people.
