I got this product to help speed up heating the water in my inflatable hot tub. The product does reduce the normal time I would have to weight to get the water to the hot tub's highest temperature setting. For my used I did have to plug this heater into a separate circuit from the hot tub's internal heater or it would trip the 20amp breaker. I like that it is very easy to use, just plug it in and turn it on. While I got this for use in my hot tub I will also be using it to heat water in a bucket for car washing.

A rod of heat power with perforations and numerous warnings on handling it. Like a riddle, one cannot handle it with one's hands; one can only drop in, plug in, and unplug. Spring cleaning time and have some delicate quilts made by grandma and mother. So, it has to be hand-washed so the paint embroidery does not fade. Did a test run because you have to have several days of dry weather for the quilt to dry out after washing. Took out the portable tub and read the chart, realizing it would be some time before water would heat up if the tub became filled. Instead did a small bucket that was only a bit higher than the diagonal lay of the immersion heater. The bucket heats and allows control of the warm water in the portal tub. It took temperature at the start, and in about 15 minutes, it went to 117 degrees Fahrenheit. Moving around, the digital thermometer in the kit will get different readings. The top layer of water is about 122 degrees Fahrenheit because heat rises. Remove the immersion heater by unplugging it and using the wire without touching the device. It takes patience and caution, but it does work. Useful for the outside, the occasional water heater problem, hurricane evacuation, or camping if you have the necessary battery charge to handle it. You also get a scrubbing pad to deal with water scale after many uses to clean the apparatus. Helpful to have on hand for a variety of reasons.

This electric heater is perfect for wash water, bathing water, whatever you need. I always try to get an outlet at my camping sites, so this is perfect.

Heating a sink full (about 4 gallons) of dish water from 52° to 110° takes about 23 minutes. This has a large, heavy-duty switch built into the cord. The heater seems robustly built. It includes a steel scrubber and sandpaper for removing scale and rust, but appears to be stainless steel, so it shouldn't need either one anytime soon.It comes with a small thermometer, but the thermometer is somewhat gimmicky; it has no power switch, so once you turn it on, it'll just run into the batteries fail.

I got this to take hot showers while I'm camping but still have shore power, and this thing is great. It's just like an electric kettle, but more powerful and can heat water blisteringly fast.Pros: This thing makes hot water fast. In less than a minute, I got a gallon of water to over 100 deg without any fuss. The time it takes to heat water will probably be limited by the power source, this thing is big for a portable solution. It comes with a thermometer and steel wool, so everything you need to get water hot with some control. This, plus a battery shower and a bucket, can make portable hot showers a breeze for less than 100 bucks. You can use this for cleaning, showering, or anything your imagination can come up with.Cons: Only minor complaints, especially at this price. While it does come with a thermometer, it would be nice if it had an integrated solution or a way to store it on the heater. I also wish the cord was a little longer. It's long, but not quite long enough to not need an extension cord in most instances. It's also a little bigger than I would have wanted for a portable solution, but then it won't heat water as fast. They're all trade offs, and you aren't going wrong with this heater.Overall - it's a great immersion heater that you can do plenty with. It's simple and works great, especially for the price.
