This has been a great help starting my garden this year. It is a complete kit with cover, lights, timer and even a thermometer/hygrometer. You have flexible mounting options for the lights depending on how high or low you want them above the shelf. The front cover has three zippers which work well and keeps the heat in. During the day mine would maintain around 82 degrees which is a perfect temp for most plants and seeds to start. I would not think an additional heat mat necessary.One nice touch is the cover even wraps underneath the bottom and velcros to the front. The shelves also have plastic mats to help control mess.Overall this was pretty easy to install but the instructions leave something to be desired. The only tricky part is the shelf supports. The shelves have a top and bottom which is not clear in the instructions.No complaints about quality but don't expect something that could hold an elephant. There should be no problems handling the weight of plants.

I'm a hobby gardener, and I got this as a Christmas present from my husband. It has been absolutely WONDERFUL!!!! Especially during the winter! I've started growing microgreens, mushrooms, lettuce, and a never ending supply of radish greens. This has been so fun!! I'm even thinking about getting another one! It was easy to put together, the shelves can be adjusted without taking the whole thing apart, and the cover keeps my cats out of my plants, and my cats are crazy, adventurous, and aren't afraid of a little destruction. I have even been eating healthier now that I can just go upstairs and get fresh greens from this cabinet!

I just finished assembling ours. High quality. It comes with 3 options for feet or casters, and multiple setups for LED lighting (height, method, one bank of lights on/off versus two banks. The cover is well made and fits well. Spare parts for shelf height adjustment in case you lose some of the plastic pieces. The clips on the ends of the chain which adjust the LED height are a bit clumsy, so I slightly opened the hooks with a screwdriver and avoided using the clips.

It’s Saturday night. I’m unpacking this product and looking forward to assembly.. getting this set up and spending my Sunday (tomorrow) prepping seed trays.. Spring is coming after all.Now I’m sitting here, wasting even more time reviewing this cheap piece of garbage that I have just boxed back up in prep to return..Why you ask?1. Shelves are flimsy and won’t last more than a season or two, tops..2. I can’t put it together because the cheap shelving supports aren’t useable.. they appear mangled .. I don’t know.All this to say, for nearly 250 bucks, I was expecting a just a bit more but it’s just another POS product out of China . What’s more, it’s an item that requires a bit more than just dropping off at my local Whole Foods.I am so tired of being disappointed by the garbage peddles on Amazon. If you’re a serious person (gardener) just go to a local hardware and pick up the items in this package.. for much cheaper and sturdier quality.. personally what I’m doing .. now .. and will need to change my whole day because of this cheap junk .. infuriating

Multipurpose indoor green house. It's perfect 'display shelf' for indoor plants and good indoor green house to grow micro greens and starting seeds indoor.For ~$200+, this is good purchase. Includes shelf, reflective cover, growlights, etc.Few things to improve:1. This doesn't fit even two 10x20 trays in single shelf. 10x20 trays are standard trays for gardeners and we use a lot, whether growing Micro green or seed started. So recommend to change shelf depth from 14inc to 21 inch.2. Shelf quality is much better than other models online, but can be better. But prefer it is same quality level as Home Depot (HD) shelf, which is much stronger. If it costs another $20 to get Home depot quality, please increase price and give HD quality. This shelf can be bend with little pressure from hand. HD shelfs wont do it.3. Need more width options. including 4ft and 6ft. This one is 3ft, but small.4. Consider selling only cover which can retrofit for standard Home depot shelfs and grow lights.3.
