Great aesthetic little cord! The switch part was actually too long for where I used it to hang a large World Market woven bamboo lampshade, so I just loop-tied a knot in it behind the curtain so it would fit my needs perfectly.

The cord is long and it is very well made. I like that it came with all the necessary hardware for quick installation. I put a small ceiling fan with light at the area that doesn’t have a light socket and it works well. Now I have cool freeze and nightlight at where used to be a hot and dark corner.

If you plan to simply add a pendant to the cord, it's a simple install with the provided threaded nut to screw on the light cover. I know how to wire lamps and light fixtures, so I took this one apart to add it to an existing fish candle lamp. It does not come with instructions and is not made to be taken apart so if you go that route, you either need to know what you're doing when you splice wires or you should call a pro. It's the perfect length and really adds to the look of the fish lamp.

I rec'd my cord kit, however I altered the socket slightly for a light shade that I'd made for my kitchen from an old sieve that's been in my family for some decades. It was easy to assemble, love the on/off switch, and the 15 foot cord length. I would definitely will order this item again. I often create my own lighting, and this cord kit will definitely be an item that I'll be using time and time again...
