I'm not moving surfboards, or furniture or anything these were actually made for- but I do transport glass containers of prepped food in my car. I put the containers in a portable fridge, and I always have gaps where the glass casserole dishes can move around, and cause a messy presentation of the food upon arrival, and even potential breakage of the glass containers. So, I tried using these gnarly pads between the gaps. They're great- very well made, and a viable concept. I love the way you can strap them in and then hand pump them to fit the gaps to prevent scratches and breakage, even though I'm not exactly using them that way. I'm hoping to find more uses for them, but for now, they do a pretty good job of buffering the glass containers. I have a pair, and could potentially use more of them, and possibility something similar, but bigger. They're better than stuffing the fridge with towels, which is what I was doing previously to fill the gaps. Very good and thoughtful product.
