I was able to use this little pillow on a recent camping trip. I was impressed by how quickly I could inflate it. I slept just fine with it. I also like how small it collapses for carrying in my backpack. For me it was very comfortable.

The cushion stays inflated but your head seems to roll all over the place.

I used this on a 3 day backpacking hike up Mt. Whitney and it was perfect. Super light and compact. It takes only 3 breaths to inflate it. The fabric feels nice and I slept directly on it the first night with no issues. I wrapped it with a shirt the next two nights and it was even better. You don't need those expensive backpacking pillows when you have everything you need with this.

I've used several inflatable camping pillows like this. The thing that really sets this one apart to me is how incredibly compact it packs down to. Basically the palm of your hand. Even some of the smaller ones I've used seemed to be slightly bigger than that. It is easy to inflate and deflate, and just large enough to provide comfort when sleeping. Really would be great to have one in the truck in case you need to pull off and sleep on long trips, but also good for backpacking and camping. Would recommend!

This inflatable backpacking pillow weighs in right around 86 grams for the bare pillow, or 92 grams with the drawstring bag. The pillow itself weighs about 20 grams heavier than some of the ThermoLite construction pillows out there, which I would say prevents this pillow from being considered an ultralight pillow. That said, it is still very compact and light enough for typical backpacking. The overall width is a bit larger than other pillows, which is a pro. One thing about this pillow is that the sides are slightly higher than the center to cradle your head. I would say this pillow is ideal for back sleepers as the center is slightly lower. As a side sleeper myself, I prefer really thick pillow(s), so I would use this pillow on top of a dry bag of clothes to raise it. The fabric itself is soft enough for bare skin contact. Inflation is easy and so is rolling it up. Considering the current cost, I would say this pillow is a fantastic value...about 50% cheaper than competing pillows whole offering almost all the performance. Because of the value, I would definitely recommend this pillow for anyone looking at starting out or considering a spare pillow.

I do a whole lot of hiking and backpacking every year. I've been using expensive brand name air pillows for over 15 years. They have functioned well but have never been that comfortable. When I saw this Bear Grylls branded pillow, I thought I would give it a try.The outside of the pillow has a nice texture and feels good up against my cheeks. It's a brushed knit texture and very soft. It's supposed to be non-slip, but it's far from it. It's as slick and slippery as any other pillow I've tried. That's not to say my face slips right off the pillow, but it's no way a non-slip texture.I like the one way valve so as you blow it up, the air stays in the pillow and can't escape until the second sealed cap is removed. I think all air pillows have that built in now but it makes it easy to blow up the pillow. In fact, it didn't even take two full breaths.The pillow inside the storage bag is right on the 4-inches claimed, as is the length of 16-inches and width of 12-inches when the pillow is fully inflated. The storage sack also has a nice sliding lock to keep it closed.This Bear Grylls pillow is as good or better that any pillow I've used. Since all pillows have somewhat of a slippery texture to them, I'm not rating it down for that, but again, it's not non-slick.

I just got back from a pretty strenuous backpacking trip last weekend, I brought and used this pillow and it worked very well. My absolute favorite thing is how small and light it is when you pack it up, it's size and weight are almost negligible! It's basically just some pieces of fabric with a one-way airflow nozzle. When you're trying to conserve as much weight and space as possible, having items like this is really helpful. The material felt good on my face, and it didn't slip and slide around all night either. I didn't realize until the final night of my trip that the shape of the pillow fits perfectly in the head area of my sleeping back, which kept everything in place and secure even when I moved around a lot in my sleep! This product has me interested in buying some of their other products, which is normally rare for me.

The shape, texture, compact size deflated, and ease of rolling it up and putting it into the storage bag are all perfect. The 2-part opening is genius - a valved nozzle for inflating it, and then the nozzle pops out and there's a large hole for deflating it.I bought this camp pillow because of it's kidney shape, and it works really well. I'm a side sleeper and the pillow is a little thin, as all pillows are, so I put some clothes underneath it and it works perfectly.
