Love this cage for my chicks, but they can get through the bars. They are 6 weeks old. We had to wrap it in small chicken wire. We use it to get them some exercise before moving into their new coop, which we are building.

For the price, this is the best little coop for my chickens. I can move it all over the yard, like a chicken tractor. This is the 2nd one I have bought in the last 2 years. It will easily hold 7 to 9 full grown chickens, if it is temporary, you could keep 10-11.

While this was easy to put together, this is only as tall as my waist. You cannot walk in it you can barely fit it in. It ei be ok for like 3 hens but will not fit egg boxes inside...it almost looks like a toy. I have 12 baby chicks and its great for them at 5 weeks old, but in.s month they will be too big to fit.Maybe can be used if need to separate for a sick or injured hen /rooster.

I purchased this to actually use as a makeshift catio for our back porch as I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. Putting it together myself wasn’t too terrible, took me about 30 mins once I figured out how all the panels went. Because I used this as a catio, I didn’t include the middle bar but instead zip tied the two peices at the top together so the connection was more stable. It does come with a blue tarp for sun and rain protection already, and I had a sunshade that I added underneath to give them more shade as we live in a very hot area. I have a cat tunnel that fits perfectly in the hole of the cage door and it leads to our pet door from inside. Our cats absolutely love being able to go safely outside now during the day, but I would not leave any animals inside overnight as it could definitely break with enough brute force. Overall I am pleased and so are my cats!

But it's extremely lightweight. I had bought this design a few years ago, and it is twice the heft. Too much weight on the ridge line will collapse this one. I stumbled into it and it went right down, while the older one I have is very solid.I'm fairly certain that you probably can't even buy one today that is like my older one, and if you could it would cost two or even three times what these are priced at. Knowing what I do, I might still buy this because of the design, but you have to be aware that it isn't a strong unit.

I used this all summer to move six chickens around my yard every day. It is kind of flimsy, so I added a few extra zip ties to it. It is easy to move.
