This mic punches far above its weight.As a hobbyist machinist, I have no need to spend hundreds on a top shelf instrument.I have however used top quality equipment.This INSIZE mic is every bit as good as one that’s more expensive. I checked it against several gauge blocks and feeler gauges. It’s within .0002 on every test I’ve done.Very happy and I’ll be considering other INSIZE products.

I've been a machinist for 20+ yrs. I bought these more as an experiment after seeing a few guys talk them up in Facebook group I'm in. They came in and they were great, The case is really nice, the mics feel great, super smooth, checked dead on. So I figured I'd just turn them loose on the shop floor and put them out there for everyone as a pair of general shop mics to see how well they held up. They've been on the floor now for about 8 months and still feel and check like new. They're being used by new guys, operators, getting dropped, not wiped off, ect..... Saw others saying that they were just as good as MItts or Starrett but figured this test would show where they were lacking. So far it hasn't though. I would totally recommend these.

Picked up a few different styles of micrometers and this was one of the more recommended standard ones. We will compare and update if needed but so far, so good.

Low cost? yes. Low quality? no. Surprisingly these micrometers are some of the best vernier mics i've used. Easily compared to top brands such as Starrett & Mitutoyo. These have a great feel in the hands and ratchet feedback is superb. Smooth uninterrupted movement from 0 - 1.0". Accurate & precise and no adjustment needed out of the box(calibrated dead on zero .0000"). I really like the box included. Durable plastic with nice hinge/latch. Great lab/shop floor working mics. Would reccommend.
