Got this for my husband for our instant mixer and it’s been amazing my husband has made around 40 pounds if sausage with this and I don’t se him stopping anytime soon. Washing is kind of a pain due to the pieces but it’s worth it for all the sausage you get

Does it grind meat? yes. Do I think it's safe to use? no. It is advertised as stainless steel, but that would make it dishwasher safe. One cycle in the dishwasher and all the metal parts turn a charcoal grey, with a residue that rubs off. I don't know if I'll ever be able to use this again on my food if I can't get it clean. I don't feel comfortable with food coming into contact with this surface now. That beautiful shiny silver finish is gone.

Rest of part is fine but the main body is made out of what I deem is not food safe aluminum or zinc steel or such. After dish washing it, when I touch it, My hand gets black marks all over (typically more of zinc steel or such). Nope, not eating these.

Wasted a $20.00 ground chuck that wound up getting "chucked out" This cheaply(China) made piece of garbage could have made us very sick if we didn't catch all the aluminum shavings in the bowl. Why can't things be made with quality materials instead of inferior materials? It was described as stainless steel but it's not! They don't care as long as they make the sale. I'm really getting tired of buying junk so I will research anything I buy from now on and make sure it's not made in China.

Like another customer reviewed i thought my grinder shipped with only one blade and one one plate. However after opening the pusher I realized the top pops off and you can find those items inside. Another reviewer mentioned the item is not stainless steel however i tested all components with a magnet and everything is steel except for the housing and tray. Those appear to be aluminum. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

Sorry I received the meat grinder attachment but their is no opening on the mixer machine I purchased which I do love just be sure when you order yours that you have the right machine and attachments
