The F-2C easily installs on most kitchen faucets. The filter is included with the system so it is ready to use at time of purchase. The F-2 is certified with a filter life of 200 gallons or 3 months.

Taste is very good but you need to change the filter every. 75 days and don't open the hot water when you filter water. Because you need to replace th filter.

Like any mechanical device, this unit wears out over time and has to be replaced. I have been replacing these on my kitchen faucet since 1979. Being in the military, I had to replace it whenever I moved. I always use this filtration system for drinking water and cooking. For forty five years, this is the only filtration system I have used . I will continue to be a loyal customer because the quality is that good. My sister-in-law thought the water was very good tasting, and she has spring water in her house.

Great filter assembly for the price but if you use the plastic female fitting to attach it you'll have to purchase a metal one from Instapure and it will last for a very long time. The plastic fitting that come with the filter only lasts for several months.

bought to replace worn fitting they used to make out of brass on faucet- now plastic and fails often because of threads not strong enough - item lasts only 4 months - never get to replace filter - replace whole thing. but when it works its the best.

This filtration unit works good and I am using this type of filtration for more than 15 years. The filtered water does tasted better than without it. The white unit looks good in the kitchen and the design of filtration unit is easy to use and easy to change filters. The only complain (not to get 5 starts rating) for this unit is manufacture changed the adaptor where it connect to kitchen faucet to a cheap plastic material. If you rotated the unit to hard the adaptor may break and become unless. I saved my old original copper adaptor when the plastic piece break. I hope manufacture should re-consider to go back use copper material instead.

The faucet mount water filter is easy to install and functioned as described. Unfortunately the plastic part with threads for attaching to faucet is kind of weak, I broke it accidentally. This is the second one I purchased for the replacement. The delivery and service from amazon.ca are prompt and good. If the plastic part could be substituted w ith a metal one, it would be great.

Review after using for one month: plastic male adapter is now stripped (attaches filter to faucet. 15/16"-27M). Filter will no longer attach to faucet. I will be purchasing a metal male adapter for increased durability. Quality Control should upgrade to metal adapters as this level of cheapness on an adapter which holds the weight of the filter device to the faucet renders the product useless and diminishes an otherwise excellent product. Reducing stars from five to four.Supposed to replace filter cartridge after 200 gallons or every 2-3 months. A sensor would be a helpful upgrade.I only turn the filter knob on when I want clean drinking water; otherwise, for all other purposes, I use in regular faucet mode. This way, the filter should last a good while.

I have tried Pur and Brita water filters that are available in stores and have never been really happy with them. They are over priced and the mounting system is terrible. I took my chances on this one because the design looked nice and the price was good. I had a little trouble initially getting it on because it is more complex than others (which is actually a good thing). I realized that it came with a little tool to tighten the first part of it before you actually tighten the rest of the filter on. After that it was snug in place and the water flow is very strong with no leaking at all. I am very happy with this purchase and will continue to buy the filters for this, which they say you need every 3 months, I definitely recommend to anyone who has been searching for a good quality faucet filter.
