I've been using this indoors so my dog can do some fetching during snow days. It took a few treats to teach her to drop the ball next to the launcher. Trying to teach her to drop it into the launcher now. My second dog is not a fan since she stuck her face in front of the launcher and got hit. I guess there's more treat training in store for her. I use the lowest setting indoors. The 20 feet and 40 feet settings are used outdoors.

My father in-law would throw the ball for his dog max everyday! Max is a 3 yr old mutt that loves to run in his huge backyard. But due to unforeseen circumstances with my father in-laws heart and needing emergency surgery. He can not suddenly throw the ball for a while. So my wife and I purchased this. BEST THING EVER. Max loves it. And does a dance everytime he’s waiting for it to discharge from the Maxi Ball Launcher! It just was a perfect purchase at the right time! It’s so much fun to watch to!

Its a great toy, Unfortunately, it confused my dog so I had to return it! Normal dogs could probably have a blast with this.
