With leaf the table expands from 36" to 48". This 30" standard table height is designed for use with dining chairs or use the included 6" extension for pedestal base to make a counter height table. This seller truly did there best to rectify a damaged delivery. The first table had a crack (seems like a manufacturing defect) with no signs of damage to the box so they sent out a replacement part that unfortunately was heavily damaged in transit. The costumer care was friendly and prompt with reply during business hours. I kept the first table that has a small crack with a discount they gave to apply to repair instead of returning or waiting on another attempt for a replacement part. Not the happiest experience but I can say the seller tried.The table is a lovely matte black and the leaf option functions easily. The finish is easy to wipe clean with a damp sponge. It is very suitable for a limited space situation, and in my honest opinion looks lovely with the emily side chairs by the same manufacturer.

This is a beautiful table, so well build and very sturdy. I am using it round with 2 chairs, but you can use 3. I love having the leaf, that is super easy to put in and then you can use 4 chairs.

I recently moved and it just wasn't cost effective to bring my old dining table, which was an heirloom type piece that I got at a bargain at the salvation army. I selected this table because it was similar in function, and style. I wasn't expecting too much, but this is comparable to my old table! It took me about 10 minutes to assemble and it definitely feels like it could stand the test of time. Be warned that it ships in two boxes, so don't have a heart attack like I did when I saw the first tiny box the pedestal comes in!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this table. If you expect a $300 table to feel like the heavy table your grandparents have... it will not LOL. If you want a budget project table that you can customize (while you try out new brands of stain that you might have to sand off because you got sidetracked on a sunny day...) THIS IS IT. I needed a modular table to match the banquette my husband built for our 900sq ft ranch, and this fit the bill and budget. It was a bit wobbly with the leaf in at first, but tightening everything down after a few weeks of temperature changes helped.Minimal sanding was needed. Surprised how beefy the metal leaf tracks are for the price. First picture is after I brushed+rolled the bottom with white high gloss paint and the top is primed with stain prep (which really highlights how pretty the grain is). The other two finished photos are after the t stained the top with :-One coat of Varathane weathered grey.-3 coats of Varathane semi gloss polyurethane because I think coasters are a PITA and now the table top is basically indestructible for a few years :)Word of advice after my impatient beginner error: After applying multiple layers of polyurethane wait more than 3 days to put leaf back in for daily use. After trying to take it apart a month later the leaf was essentially bonded in place because the polyurethane was not cured yet and a razor blade had to be used to pry it apart. This was done during summer maybe on a humid week? Anyway. the table survived being pried apart with a razor blade and 3 people worth of muscle and still looks and functions great.

Table is of great quality. The leaf fits well. Was easy to stain. Easy to assemble. I recommend this product and would buy it again.

This was a gift for my mother for her small apartment. The table was easy to put together, and the bolts tightened fine. After using it three times to have dinner on, the table top became "wobbly". We tried to tighten the bolts and they would not tighten as before - it's like they were stripped and wouldn't tighten back up. The table is not even usable.My mom is very upset. She really loved the look and size of the table, and that it seemed well made. However, now she has a table that can't even be used. And we paid over $300.00 for it.Odd that the company's Return Window closed on July 10th and the table broke on July 11th when she had dinner for my brother and sister-in-law.

To seller, I’m writing to you here because there is no option to contact seller. Please send me another return label. The pedestal part of the table was in separate box, so the pick up delivery guy only took the big box with table but would not take the other box with pedestal in it because it didn’t have a return label. I’d like to return that as well. Thank you for refunding my money so quickly. The table is beautiful and strong but the color didn’t match my chairs so unfortunately had to return. No fault of the table at all.To buyers, beautiful table, low price and obviously a good honest seller!

Like the size and ease with adjusting to counter height. Good directions. However, top with a lot of scratches and streaked paint marks (looks like an eraser was dragged across a shiny surface--not removable) making it look used. Packaging was intact.
