In indoor lighting, this looks more black and silver than navy and white. It works for me because I'm using it for outdoor graduation photos and the natural light shows the true color. It's very well-made, standard length, and super shiny.

I'm actually not sure what an honor cord is -- or how graduates are supposed to wear or display them. I bought this beautiful cording for a different reason entirely. The draft stopper for my door had a cord attached at one end, sewn in a loop, so you could hang it on your doorknob when it wasn't in use and that cord eventually became detached and disappeared. (I think my kitty may have devoured it.) I couldn't find a replacement cord that was as nice as the cord the draft stopper came with -- until now!Ideally I wanted a black and white cord to match the draft stopper, but opted for the navy and white. (The navy is dark and is a good substitute for black.) It's beautifully made and of very high quality. It's almost a shame that I have to cut it down in order to sew a small portion to the draft stopper, but that was my entire purpose for getting it. You might also use it as curtain tieback -- and probably lots of other purposes. The cord itself is nice and thick and has a bit of a sheen to it with perfectly neat tassels at either end -- no wayward strings sticking out anywhere. Whatever you happen to use it for, this is a well-made, quality item.
