The short end of the hook and loop stays on the horse and the remaining long section is still connected to the wall or trailer. Just catch your naughty horse and put the Tie Safe back together. Fantastic idea for stables. The Tie Safe doesn't have the snap back danger of a stretchy tie. Features a panic snap at one end and solid brass trigger snap at the other. Trailer Tie - adjusts from 28 Inch to 33 Inch.

The buckle on the end is a little bit small to attach to horse halters. And I wish it would go just a little longer. But it works and gives me peace of mind when hauling

I really liked the adjustability of this tie. It’s easy to adjust yet very sturdy. I trailered my horse last week and it worked perfectly. She never set back on it and I hope that feature is never tested.

These things are wonderful. Bought a new horse that has wonderful training... But his former owner ground tied him 98% of the time. Which is certainly impressive in its own right, but my show horse NEEDS to be able to hard tie. To a trailer, post, etc. I can now SAFELY tie my gelding. Comes in wall/trailer tie length & cross tie length. Saw it work in action tonight and break away. And then your horse has half of it still attached to him, so you can easily grab them. Then you just reattach it to the wall. It’s plenty strong, so it keeps your horse securely tied to wall. But if a heavy, hard, and dangerous amount of pressure (dangerous as in your horse is about to break something, like a post, fence, valuables, etc.; or God forbid, flip himself over & seriously injure himself and/or others) the tie will come apart with ease. Leaving one end attached to him, so you can easily catch your horse, and the other attached to the wall. Reattach the Velcro, & you’re instantly attached back to the wall like nothing happened! So easy, so safe, I’m sold!!!

Every person needs these for trailering or horses that use breakaway halters. Safest ties for for everyone involved. Stays together forever with with normal head moving. Velcro is strong. More efficient than hay twine and definitely safer that bungee ties that can pop back and hit whoever is in the way. If horse becomes unruly, it breaks away before breaking halter, trailer loops etc. Half will still be connected to his halter to grab and easily connected back into place. I have used these for many years in my trailer.

I have 2 of these in my trailer and it gives me peace of mind although none of the horses have "tested" them yet! Would buy for tying up on the yard also.

These work really well! I was hauling my friends horse who has a problem with trailers, she was just clipped in and started freaking out. The tie separated like it was supposed to and the part that was on her halter made it easy to catch her again. Easy to put back together. Before that it had never separated before. Perfect for all horses! I love it, I will never use any other type of trailer ties.

Fortunately, I've never had to see the breakaway feature in action, but it should do what it's supposed to! I like the velcro and the adjustability of this tie. I can use it on horses of different heights thanks to the way the velcro allows you to make adjustments.Sturdy fittings and swivel attachments are of good quality.
