The shelves themselves are fine. They are perfect for what I needed. The wall anchors included are useless for something intended for heavy objects. Plan on a trip to the hardware store to purchase better quality wall anchors.

Sturdy, heavy for the size, with a good paint finish. Easy to install but If you plan to mount on studs you will need to pre drill the length of the screws with a close matching bit. I did not drill deep enough first effort and the screws snapped with just moderate pressure. One star deduction for the screws but a good buy.

I have a dedicated library in my house with wall to wall books and a quad of books in the center. It's a small room, but I've packed it with thousands of books. I've used up all the wall space and all the non-walkable floor space, but there are still book collections I don't have. So I got 4 sets of these, 8-tier floating shelves and I mounted them BETWEEN my wall shelves. They are drilled directly into the left edge of each shelf, not on the wall or on the side, but attached to the shelf itself, so these floating shelves protrude from the front of the wall shelves. This is the only design that is thin enough to do that. They are pretty sturdy and can hold a ton of books.
