Pros: The card works well once driver is installed.Cons: You almost have to use the CD for the driver install. My new system doesn't have a DVD/CD unit - haven't needed one in years. When I went to the website for the driver, the list of downloads was confusing to say the least. Note that I am a Cisco/Juniper Network engineer with 24+ years in the field.I literally could not find the model of the card - which is NOT listed on the box or the card itself. So I borrowed an external DVD/CD unit and let the OS search for the driver. It did find it, so bully for me.Also, the numbering of the cables is "unique":Port 1 = Com6Port 2 = Com5port 3 = Com4Port 4 = Com3Logic would suggest that 1=3, 2=4, etc. This was not the case. It's not a bad card, but definitely could be a pain to install for some.

Installed in a SFF Dell Optiplex 3050. 64 bit Win7Pro. Device Manager reported drivers working properly. Basic communications seemed to work, but later discovered that the DSR line status is not being passed thru.If your application needs to monitor the DSR line avoid this card.

Well worth the $10.54, even for the 4-to-1 cable alone, and it has the same pinout as Startech's but with nuts instead of screws, which is more typical on the terminal/male side.

This card fit my PC and worked perfectly in replacing a PCI card on an older computer. As an update, after updating to Windows 10, the card failed due to lack of compatible driver.

This device failed miserably in my Win 7 64 bit computer. It showed up once in device manager, then not at all. After a couple hours of trying, I gave up and ordered a Star Tech four port (PCI) serial card which worked right off.

I know it did not say it supported Windows Server 2008 R2 but figured it may work as most use the windows 7 drivers.Did not work. My fault for thinking. Lost a star since it should support it!
