Ok, honestly, I have no clue what these are used for. But, my husband says they worked exactly as they should. He has used them quite a bit at his job and is very pleased with it.

I am impressed by this tool. It feels solid and well made to fine tolerances. I tested its fine measurement accuracy by measuring a range of blades in a high quality set of Stainless Steel Feeler Gauges with thicknesses ranging from 0.04-0.88 mm and its measurements were spot on. The measurements were also highly consistent (repeatable). The calipers slide open and closed smoothly and easily, but hold their position well when you let go. The IP67 rating is directly helpful for use in liquid, but also helps in dusty conditions. It comes in a nice rigid plastic case with a foam inset that cradles the caliper and accessories nicely. Those accessories are a very nice quality PH1 screwdriver and an extra battery. The price seems high in the range of caliper options available on Amazon, and I have not compared this to any less expensive options.

This is a great, high quality, well built digital calipers.We've gone through a ton of cheaper calipers - plastic, flimsy, and tends to breakdown after a few weeks of use. This one has been through the woods and back and still standing up without a scratch. Because this is made from machined metal, it's much heavier than others, but that heaviness comes with strength and durability. The digital screen is well sealed and is IP67 resistant, so getting wet or in more dirty environments won't impact the internal electronics.The only issue we had with the set was the battery cover. Because it's well sealed, it is a bit of a struggle to get off - I recommend watching the video on the product page as it shows the motion needed to get it off. The included screwdriver also doesn't fit that well on the screw on the battery cover - but it does eventually come off. It also includes a spare battery.Overall this is a great, durable, and highly accurate digital caliper.

This caliper feels solid and slides smoothly. I tested it on a 123 block, and it nailed all three dimensions.Conpared to a cheaper device, I really appreciate the well designed water-tight battery enclosure. There was even a screwdriver included to access that compartment as well as a spare battery and nice case.Well worth the price premium.
