I have been using similar heat mats from other manufacturers for years and every other model on amazon is pretty similar... not this one. This a poorly made piece of junk and I'm afraid that leaving it plugged in will cause a fire. The plastic mat is much thinner than competitors and it is not properly bonded to the heat wire. Imagine a zip lock bag with Christmas lights inside, that's about what you're getting, the plastic is lumpy, loose, and flimsy and the wires feel loose inside.

I am growing bleeding hearts from seeds. This was recommended to aid the process. It warms 3 seed trays evenly. It is about 10 degrees warmer than my 74 degree house. It works as promised.

Warms up fairly quick so seems to be ok but haven’t tested in colder months yet?!
