The bowl holder comes in 2 pieces. They easily screw together by hand . A mini wrench is included to tighten securely . I washed the bowls with the guidance of my dog . Placed filtered water in the bowl. Audra went straight to it and drank. The following morning her breakfast was prepared and placed in the right sided holder . Audra ate in splendor. The bowl has a distressed finish in flat paint . The color is beige with black and brown peeking through. I plan to spray paint it in white gloss paint to match other decor . Audra and I approve. This set includes the two bowls . It is high quality and perfect for a 10 lb yorkie .

While I didn't put the back decorative item on it, the size and shape was perfect for a Frenchie. The bowls being rounded on the bottom was the biggest selling point with a flat faced dog. Exactly what I was looking for!
