Only works on 3/8 inch rope or less. Strong enough to snap 3/8 inch rope. Makes it dangerous. Call me a whimp, but after having one eye blinded by a bungee, I'm a little sensitive to high energy rubber bands coming toward my head.So while it's designed great, the small rope diameter makes the rope the limiting factor - but failure of the system is still failure.Other than being dangerous and not being able to pull a heavy load, the design of this is awesome. I brought this with me and my family mud riding on our four wheelers and yes two of the five bikes has winches but yes both winches didn’t have it in them and I came to the rescue with my little come along and it did so I would say it’s staying on my bike

I bought this rope pulley to lift my walkway on my dock, which should have been a snap since it's rated 1 ton (2000 lbs). Nope, wouldn't lift it one inch. Ended up going to Tractor Supply, and bought a made in America come along that did the trick with ease.
