This thing really is fast. It'll pull itself deep before you know it then fight you to come out. Great product.

Used to spade bits. This is far superior!Delivery driver tossed it at the door of a business instead of following instructions to leave at building reception. Luckily I was only the 100th person to walk by.Bit- 10/10Delivery- 4/10 (I still got it).Delivery driver- 1/10.

did an excellent job of drilling numerous holes. Was very easy to use and held up to a lot of drilling.

Installed a peephole on my fiberglass door with this bit. The bit did dull after one use, which is to be expected, as it's designed for wood. It slipped a bit in my drill's chuck, but then again, maybe it's just the chuck, not the bit itself at fault. Make sure to drill a pilot hole (I used 1/8" twist bit) first, then drill each side of hole until you make it through for your peephole. Overall, pleased with results.

I bought this drill bit to install a peephole in my front door. It did so without any problem. I did notice that the exit hole wasn't quite as clean as the entry hole. The drill hole was covered by the edge of the peephole and it wasn't an issue but it may help you in deciding which side of the door to drill from.

I bought this to put a hole in my front door so I could install a peephole viewer. It did the trick. Worth the money.

Worked perfectly. Note: This bit is intended for use on wood only, as indicated on the packaging. However, it worked just fine on my fiberglass door which was my only reason for buying it. I needed the exact size for installing a peephole and other reviewers indicated it should be fine for that. The bit still seems to be in perfect shape, so of course I’ll add it to my toolbox, but I don’t have another intended use for it so I wanted to get something as cheap as I could since it maybe a one time use for me

The smaller sizes of these are awesome compared to a regular spade bit or big spiral bit. Used these while building a large playset for the kiddo. Easy to use, doesn't overtax my drills. Gives a nice hole and the threaded tip helps pull it along. The larger sizes (> 1"), take a lot of torque and I stick with a spade bit or a hole saw.

I bought this to drill long deep straight holes. It does cut easily and fast. However, I found it difficult to drill a straight hole for any amount of length. The bit likes to curve once the threading is deeper than the hole edge. I ended up using an auger bit with much better luck. So, if the holes you are drilling are no deeper than the threads you should be fine. If you plan on going deep, go for an auger bit instead.
