I am not a a heavy duty user so it meets my expectation.

The bit I received was not "new", as described. There were marks from where it had been chucked in a previous drill, and there were even wood fragments on the flutes from being used before. Even so, it still looks sharp and will do what it is intended to do so it still gets 3 stars, it's just not new.

Got this to drill a hole through our outside wall to get a cable routed into the house from the internet service provider. The drill bit went through metal siding, wood, insulation and drywall like butter!Very easy to secure the cable to the drillbit and pull the wire through the wall.Seems like very sturdy built product and, since I don't expect to drill many holes through walls, I'm sure this will last me a lifetime

The description states this drill bit has a wire pulling hole and so does the package it came in. The drill bit I received has no hole so either the manufacturer packaging is wrong or someone is swapping them out because at least one other person who purchased this product received a drill bit with no hole.At this point it's not worth exchanging the product since I have to work on my project this weekend so I'll have to use a hanger. If you intend to purchase this drill bit because of the wire pulling hole be advised that you may not get what you're looking for.The drill bit itself looks sturdy and solid so this review is mainly about the fact that I received something different than what was described.

Used to run security camera wiring in an existing construction. Reached nicely through exterior walls and through floor to upstairs rooms. The 18" length was just long enough and the 3/8" diameter was just right for my small cable size and minimized the size of the resulting holes. Very effective at drilling and easily fit in my 3/8" drill chuck.

Worked out perfect for drilling through my house to run satelite or cable wire through the walls. It will not be large enough to put the wire through with the threaded end just the cable only for a nice fit. I have a crimp tool so I put the ends on after putting the cable through.

Good for what it is intended for. I think 1/2 would have been better as the power cord I had to pull through was not very big and I had to really work to get it through the wall.

It's a drill bit. Works like it should. Nice and sharp. Goes through wood like butter.

It is long, it drill holes, the steel is quite hard. The price is right. What can you say about a drill bit?

This bit is just the ticked for drilling holes for RG-6 cable - it has a small hole in the tip you can use to draw the cable through from the inside - just make sure you don't drill in the wrong places!

I used this to drill some holes through my walls and floor when installing cat5 cable. It was plenty long and I had no fear that it would break.
