Feels really flimsy and plastic.I would not use it for day to dat use but for my purpose to have it as a backup alternative to use AA batteries it is OK.

Amazon: delivered on time and informed of delivery in excellent time. Product: fits perfectly, tested upon arrival ( note: I did have to bend one of the dattery tension contacts out as it had collapsed. I only make this point just in case someone else can avoid a return of item if batteries fit loosely. It happens ). Otherwise a solid addition to my radio in case charging the pack is not an option. Thank you !After note: in reading some of the other reviews, people have commented on problems with alkaline batteries etc overpowering their equipment causing malfunctions ( which they point out in the description as well ). Please read the full description of product from manufacturer/seller. It explicitly says to use rechargable batteries ( 1.2v ) or if you use alkaline batteries to use 5 ( 1.5v ) + one dummy battery.

Should always have these for back-up. Saved my ass a few times when I had no access to recharging the Lithium batteries. There are always AA batteries around.

Veramente consigliato

Item broke after removing batteries from it a couple of times. One of the little teets that hold it together at the bottom broke off. Bought another one and will b real careful with it.

I don't normally review - but wanted to share how pleasantly surprised I was by this case. First of all, let me say that it fits very nicely on the Baofeng UV-5RE. It actually makes the radio feel much more solid. The only drawback is that if you use rechargeable NiCd batteries, it doesn't last quite as long as if you use 1.5V standard alkaline AA batteries, but of course this only has to do with the fact that NiCd batteries hold a 1.2V charge. Either way, it still lasts way longer than the standard battery, and really fits quite nicely.

It works perfectly with the radios. It just feels like cheap plastic. It does what it is intended for but It is not as durable as the factory battery pack

As soon as I went to install the batteries I knew I had to return the two of these cased that I ordered. Both cases would not hold the batteries in without the cheap snap cover falling off the case. Honestly, there is no way to keep the battery cover shut on this unit!!! The "snap-on" cover is too weak and will not stay closed!!! It is not a battery fit problem because the batteries fit inside the case just fine. The case just will not stay snapped shut tightly.ALSO, after looking past the battery cover problem I noticed the next very strange issue. WITH THIS CASE INSTALLED, I CANNOT TRANSMITT IN ANY FREQUENCY? When the TX button is pressed, the radio just beeps once and that is all. No LED color change, no transmit NOTHING ELSE. The same thing happens to both of the new UV-5REs and with both cases that I ordered!!??!! Am I missing a setting somewhere????Swap the stock Li-on batteries back into the radios and everything works fine! So, back these two cases go. I have wasting my time on poorly build/tested products like this!
