The IST WR1 Medium Size Underwater Writing Slate 5 x 6" (12.5 x 15cm) is a simple but very useful diving and pool accessory to keep on hand. Whether you’re using it to describe underwater sights, instructions or potential dangers to your dive buddy, to map underwater terrain and distances, to keep a dive record, or to document lap times or notes at the pool, you’ll appreciate this inexpensive, easy to use piece of equipment.
The included pencil is attached with flexible, stretchy surgical tubing, and can be replaced when necessary. Carabiner-style clip for hooking onto belt or BC. Quick release buckle can be operated with one hand, making it fast and easy to remove the slate from its tether without having to unhook from belt or BC.

This is a nice slate. A good size. It has a quick release and a snap clip. It is a thick slate and should last a long time.

My husband bought this to keep track of sprint interval work in the pool. It worked great for recording times and is the right size to toss into the gym bag and leave at the end of the lane.
