Officer, I wasn't looking for a hook-up. Just a place to hang my leash and collar. These are well made and can support almost anything you have, whether it is tawdry or pedestrian. Utilitarian is the new luxury.

I have to admit, I am absolutely "hooked" on Gladiator products. I recently found their product line when I set my mind to organizing my garage. I have purchased over $800 in Gladiator products over the past two months including their wall-hung ready-to assemble (RTA) cabinets (gearbox) and their RTA freestanding cabinet. At the base of their system though is GearTrack and their hooks which are so versatile and strong. Once you've got the geartrack installed you can use the variety of hooks including the J&L hooks which I believe have a 25lb weight capacity when the track is installed according to the manufacturer. I use the J&L hooks primarily to hang small tools and cords from them. The great part about this system is that you can easily and quickly move things around, again, once you've got the track installed. One suggestion: plan ahead and then plan to become addicted to this product line. (unsolicited).....Gladiator, if you're listening, I would love to become a product user, tester and reviewer! : )

Gladiator updated their J&L Hooks sometime between September 2018 and February 2019. The biggest change is the sturdier retention tab at the top of each hook. I would notice the older hooks canting/shifting when I pulled heavier or bulkier items off of them. This update seems to help with that a lot, as they tend to stay in place more often. There were a couple of additional changes made to the L Hooks. First, the length of the hooks is about 3/4" shorter than the previous version. The new hooks measure 4" from the flat plate to the end, whereas the older version is close to 4.75". Second, there was a change made to the material of the protective jacket applied to the hook. The new L Hooks have a slightly textured jacket that matches the other hooks and accessories in the Gladiator line of products. The older L Hooks have a smooth jacket. Overall it was a pleasant surprise when I received them, and I immediately swapped a few out around the garage. As an example of where they shine: I hang a small, compact sliding miter saw on a project panel with a couple of eye bolts from two J Hooks. Before, I had to be careful when lifting the saw up and out from the old hooks, or else they would cant slightly in the track (and it was a pain to realign them). The new, updated hooks stay in place much better. Great update!

These are exactly what I wanted but they do not work with craftsman(read they could work but that’s wrong). They only sit on the track but there’s no way of it staying without falling. I ended up using screws at the top to keep it from coming off. Still does what I need it to do.Edit: with slight bending at the bottom away from the hook it fits the craftsman better shown in third and fourth pic. A lot less chance for the hook to fall. Also bend the tab alittle at the top so it has lesss jiggle.

Purchased a number of Gladiator Gear Tracks for my garage walls and the cost of some of the "specialty" hooks seem unreasonable to me. Enter these beauties, where for the price of one or two other hooks you get 8 L and J hooks (4 each) that hold everything in my garage, including a Sun Joe compressor. I bought 4 packages and they work well, easy to install and hold a considerable amount of weight. For example, my compressor in the pic weighs about 20 lbs (without battery) and hangs easily on two L hooks. A great product at a super price.

I had the rails attached on the house I purchased 5 years ago. And only now did I get the hooks to put in them. They are not exactly cheap, but they are built well and can hold up fairly heavy items. Should have got them much earlier.

I bought these hooks along with geartracks to help organize my garage . When you look at the hooks online its hard to tell what weight it can hold . That's why you need to find the correct hook for whatever you are going to hang on them .They don't look that sturdy . When they finally arrived they look and feel very sturdy and are able to hold most anything you hang on them . Just remember a rake and shovel don't weigh that much . My garage went from a mess to a neat and organized garage in afternoon . They are a little expensive but you get a quality product that you wont have to worry about your equipment falling off .

I bought this with 2 4ft pieces of geartrack. The shapes and sizes in this set are good for a lot of things you hang in your garage, but you will also need the heavier duty hooks for larger and heavier (10 lb+) items. They install relatively easily, and you can move the various hooks around to make the best use of space and hang items where they are not convenient for you. Installation time is mainly dependent on how long it takes you to decide how high you want the hooks and finding the studs to screw into. The hooks are easy to use, attractive and seem generally well made, but they can become a little loose, I think because the top clips have a bit too much bend. This why I gave it a 4. We now have a much better organized and attractive garage but I am a little concerned about the durability of my 2 week-old system.
