I bought this J&A Automatic Fogger originally designed for reptile tanks, but I’ve been using it for my mini plant terrarium—and I couldn’t be happier with it! From the very first setup, it’s been a dream to use. I connected the hoses to a 1-gallon water jug, and the system pulls water perfectly with no leaks, no mess, and no stress. It’s been misting my plants with just the right amount of humidity, and the programmable timer makes it incredibly easy to maintain a consistent schedule. I love being able to “set it & forget it” while knowing my plants are in ideal conditions. The included temp-hygrometer sensor is a fantastic bonus—it’s accurate and gives me peace of mind that my environment is staying balanced. The quality of the unit itself really impressed me too. It’s sturdy, well-made, and doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all. The hoses are flexible but durable, and the misting heads distribute a fine, even mist that never floods my terrarium. Everything about this mister feels thoughtfully designed with functionality in mind. For just around $50, I consider this an amazing value. You’re getting high-quality materials, reliable performance, and features you’d typically only find on more expensive systems. I’ve had zero issues, and honestly, I have nothing negative to say about it. Whether you’re caring for reptiles, amphibians, or—like me—a thriving little plant ecosystem, I highly recommend this fogger. It’s an excellent investment for anyone looking to automate their humidity needs!

This is a really nice humidifier system! I've found it to be a great tool for maintaining humidity in my terrarium. It was significantly easier to set up than the misting hose system I was using previously, with fewer components and a more streamlined process. Once the hose was correctly aligned and secured, I experienced no issues with leaks, which is a huge plus. The unit produces a fine mist that effectively raised the humidity. Although it comes with a sensor, I personally found it simpler and perfectly effective to use the built-in timer to control the humidifier's schedule; it was very easy to set up for my specific needs.Overall, I am quite happy with this humidifier. It has consistently kept my moss and other terrarium plants healthy and vibrant. It's a reliable and efficient way to manage humidity, and I would definitely recommend it for terrariums or similar controlled environments.

I'd give it a 5 stars on function. I actually used it to maintain humidity in a diy dry ager. But the usb c for the Mister comes unplugged really easily. I had to plug it in hard and secure everything so it cant move at all. Otherwise it's great

Great misting system! I love the fine mist it puts out. I have it hooked up to one of my Ball Python setups. It did increase the humidity , which is what I needed. Unfortunately, It does Have a few flaws that need to be worked out. The probe seems to be less acurate then I would like. I am also limited to which enclossure I attach this to due to needing a seperate water container. It just makes it a bit cumbersome. I haven't noticed any leaking and it's fairly easy to set up and use.

Product was defective on arrival. The installation guide had contradictory diagrams and neither plumbing configuration produces any vapor. Water just drips out of the bottom of the humidifier box. No troubleshooting guide available.

Overall I’m very happy with this automatic misting system. I’m using it to replace a different one from a brand called Ogioxam that I was really unhappy with. I won’t get into too many details about that one, but this J&A misting system is better in almost every way.The LCD screen is nice. It stays on all the time and lets me check the current temperature and humidity at a glance. You can set custom temp and humidity ranges and the meters will turn red if the measurements go outside that range. There have been no leaks or issues with the plumbing, but I would highly recommend getting 1/4 inch quick connect fittings like I did. It’s not easy to remove the rubber tubing once you have it attached. The mist it produces is super fine. I was originally going to replace the rather large mister (“humidifier”) it comes with, but I found the super fine mist it produces quite pleasant and decided to keep it. It’s nice how the mister has an exhaust line to keep air out of the system. Probably the best feature is that you can control the misting schedule based on the humidity. In my experience there are similar misting devices which come with humidity probes and make you think they can do this, but they actually just work on timers. This device can mist based on the humidity or on a timed schedule. It’s also quiet. I’d say it’s only half as loud as the previous misting system that I replaced. There are multiple fail safes related to power. The device is normally powered by a USB-C plug. It takes batteries which can power the device if the power goes out. And it says it’ll remember your settings even if both the power and the batteries fail. While none of these next points detract from my experience with this system enough to lower the rating, I thought it was worth mentioning them anyway. There are some aspects of this system that leave room for improvement:- The kit should come with quick disconnect fittings to make routing the tubes and doing maintenance easier.- The screen is a separate piece from the base, and it likes to fall off. I was unable to move the unit at all without the screen losing connection and I ended up taping it in place.- It would be better if all the cables were on the back of the device. Currently they stick out from the left side, the right side, and the top, making it look messy. I bought some right angle USB-C adapters to make the plugs on the sides a little bit neater.- The software could be more intuitive. For example the menus are laid out vertically and there’s a d-pad controller, so you’d expect to press up and down to select menu items - but you instead press left and right.- The instructions don’t exactly match the device you get. There’s no mention of the mister and they talk about a remote control that isn't included. It’d be better if the package came with the correct instructions.- Following from the last point, there’s no information about the mister / “humidifier.” Why does it require a USB-C cable to be attached? I experimented and noticed that the main unit pumps water without the mister attached, so I don’t think there’s a pump in the mister. But it’s very large compared to most misting nozzles, so maybe there is.- The clock runs fast. I set it to be exactly correct about 2 weeks ago and now it’s nearly 5 minutes ahead of the actual time.Despite my complaints I’m very happy with this misting system overall. I’d definitely recommend it.
