This is very very cool. I've never used a steam press before, or a press iron, but I LOVE it. ALL irons that have a steam function will drip hot water - it's just how it goes - but this doesn't if you hold it upright as you press. I love that there are clear settings for different fabric types (instead of just a dial for the heat setting), and it's nice that there's also an iron function in case the stitching or buttons get in the way of being able to press iron a certain part of the garment. And since the water tank is detachable, I didn't have to fuss with a hot iron when refilling it. The only thing that strikes me as maybe dangerous is that the rear iron gets HOT, even when using the tool in 'press' mode. This can lead to severe burning if you aren't careful (I almost treated this more like a straightening iron, holding it from the sides of the press at the top, and you CAN NOT do that because one side is just as hot as the inside of the press). I do wish that the rear plate didn't heat up when in press mode so that I could use the press functionality with more safety, or that there were some kind of cover I could put on the rear iron when pressing... the heat glove they supply is nice to prevent a burn if you just forget that the rear plate is not, but it's not something I trust to use to actually touch that plate to be able to hold the device higher while pressing. As an iron, it works really well too, but I'll probably use it in press mode more. I can't speak to dual voltage, as I don't really plan to take this abroad with me (it's just a little too big for my needs, even though it is a lot smaller than an iron; it's closer to the size of a hair straightening iron). It functions well, but I have to be very careful and intentional when using it.

This is a great steamer for travelling. Its small, comes with all the needed accessories and everything fits nicely into the provided bag.The standard part of the steamer, which works while its in closed position, is like any similar device...but the open position pinch feature steaming is the best part of this particular unit. That is because you can use it for areas that are hard to grip and hold in place with a regular steamer...like collars, button bands, hems and sleeves. This device was also surprisingly powerful for its size. It gives out a very consistent steam that worked very quickly to iron my blouse. The water tank, while not large, worked for long enough to get through a blouse and skirt without stopping. I will definitely be packing this for my next trip and continuing to use it to get better creases in my clothes for daily, at home, use.

It really puts out a lot of steam for its size. It works great for steaming clothes or even cloth napkins, anything that has a crease or wrinkles that you want gone. I liked the fact that it was small and pretty lightweight, It heated up quickly and really pumped out the steam. The reservoir was pretty small but it was easily filled and lasted quite a while. Using distilled water is a good idea so it won't clog with minerals. Its a great little steamer to have around the house or even bring with you when you travel.

Drips scalding water on clothes leaving wet spots and risking burns. Useless for delicate fabrics.

I do not like to iron. In fact, I have donated so many shirts that would wrinkle if you looked at them wrong. I saw this item and I have an upcoming trip that is taking place in the summer, and most my summer shirts do need ironing. I am really impressed with this portable steamer, iron. It is super easy to use, it comes with great directions, and it heats up quickly. It is easy to operate and is not bulky at all. I just used the steamer setting and set it to the cotton setting, and I can say it does the job. The shirt I included in the photo below was darned near donated, but I really liked it. I think I will be keeping it. It has multiple setting for different material, so there is no guessing on if you are going to damage your piece of clothing. The portable steamer, iron comes in gift worthy packaging. It includes a measuring cup for precise pouring. It does require distilled or pure water. Most of us have that as a pantry staple. It also has a very nice storage sack that you can hand for storage. It also comes with a heat-resistant glove to prevent accidental burning while using. The electric cord is nice and long allowing you to hang your item to steam, or if you will be using the iron, you will be able to do so without a problem. As a person that has an aversion to ironing ANYTHING, I have to say, this item makes steaming a breeze and I am sure ironing will be just as easy, and you do not need to lug a heavy iron and board out to do the job. You do not have to worry about ruining your dress clothes by using an iron that is provided by the hotel / motel that may be less than clean. You will not need to pay a drycleaner/ room service to iron your clothes, and hope you get them back in time. This would be ideal for someone that travels for business, vacation, or even someone that just does not want to store a huge ironing board and a heavy iron. I am very happy with this product.

I got this Jack & Rose travel steamer for an international trip, and it’s been a solid companion. It heats up quickly and works surprisingly well for such a compact device. The steam output is strong enough to smooth out wrinkles fast, and the multiple fabric settings are a nice touch for different clothing types. The dual voltage feature is a huge plus for overseas travel — no need to worry about blowing a fuse. It’s lightweight and easy to pack, and I like the sleek design. My only minor complaint is the water tank. It’s detachable, but a bit small and can be a little fiddly to refill without spilling. Not a dealbreaker, just something to keep in mind if you’re steaming multiple outfits.Overall, a great little steamer that delivers on performance and convenience for travel. Would definitely recommend!

The dual voltage feature didn't work in multiple countries. Ended up not being able to use it during my travels.
