Nice childproof lock that blends in with the woodwork. Have to lift it just right to get it to open however. Still, works as described

My son got to the age where he is running around and is tall enough to reach doorknobs. We got the child lock doorknob covers, but he figured out how to take them off. That’s why we moved on to these! They work excellently and are really easy to lock or unlock. They were easily installed, are relatively small and light, but have lasted us over two years now. We had no issue with quality of the screws and it is small and thin on the top of our doorframe.

I bought one of these 5 years ago so the baby would stop destroying the linen closet. Now with second baby we're needing to keep her out of some rooms without supervision and keep her out of the pantry!! Works great and easy to unlock for the rest of us.

I had these when my 5 children were small to insure their safety from slipping out the door or opening the door to strangers. I was thrilled to find them again to help keep my younger grandkids safe when they spend time with us. They are easy to install and easy to open and close. They give me that extra peace of mind so I can enjoy our grandkids. I also put one on a closet door to keep them out of it…Grandmas “hiding” closet for gifts and treats and just things that they don’t need access to.

I installed these on both my front and back door. Once they are engaged door cannot be opened. Good for security. However, my 5 year old moved a kiddie chair over to the door climbed up and was able to figure out how to open the lock in under two minutes. These a good addition for extra security, but depend on them to keep the little ones in the house.

I found these easy to install, but sometimes when I close the door, the lock swings shut all by itself, keeping my door from shutting. I then have to slide the lock and then shut the door. That does not happen all the time, but enough to be annoying. I think perhaps that I installed them wrong? There was this tiny screw that was in the bag that I did not know what to do with, so I eliminated it from the installation. Perhaps if I know what to do with that tiny screw, it will eliminate that annoying "self locking" feature. However, when I close the door and then swing this lock in place, that door is NOT opening. I installed one on my basement door, and both exits. However, in an emergency, I may find it hard to open. I hope not to find out.Still, it gets 5 stars from me. Now, if I can find a mechanism that will lock a door that swings OUT.
