Jameco Reliapro ADU120160H4120 AC/AC Wall Adapter Transformer, Straight 2.5 mm Female Plug.We were recently given an old fiber optic Christmas tree. I removed all the incandescent lights that had been added to the tree, found the small AC motor and light in the base of the tree which looked as if they should work and I decided to find an adaptor on AMAZON. I ordered this JAMECO RELIAPRO.After straightening some branches where the incandescent lights had been attached, I plugged in the adapter and my wife loved the way the lights lit up the tree. The colors constantly changed and the effect was beautiful. It was as if fairy lights were lighting up the branches on the tree.This inexpensive adapter brought a beautiful Christmas tree back to life. When running the tree for a few hours, the adapter did not get hot (no overheating), and it has a nice long cord.

120 volt to 12 volt DC are everywhere, but needed one in 12 volt AC, that would supply 1.5 Amp. This is only one I could find and is going a great job.

I got this to build a split power supply. I don't like messing with transformers and I don't trust myself with that kind of wiring just yet. I do plan to overcome that eventually when I am not in a apartment and its my own house. If you catch my drift. Needless to say getting a transformer housed in a wall wart was the best compromise. I can use this for prototyping until I am ready to build the modular synth cabinet..When the wall wart arrived it looks like it was crammed into the box. The wire was bent. I bought this on Amazon because I did not have the money to pay 20usd of stuff as is the jameco required purchase..Good news is it does work. My multimeter shows 14vac and this might just be because there was no load on it. I used DC wall warts for a while until I could afford a bench top power supply. Just about all wall warts will have a slightly higher voltage then what is written on the block plug.(+2v) seems a bit high to me, but this is only my 2nd AC to AC wall wart. I will update if I face problems. Over all this will work for prototyping.

This 120v AC from 12v AC adapter was just what I needed for a 1.6A or 1600 mA adapter who's wall connecting pins got pushed inside. This is not a 120v AC to 12v DC adapter, this is just a plan stepdown AC to AC transformer.
