I cut the wires and permanently wired my ring doorbell in my shop. Works great and even on highest video settings, my battery stays at 100%. I am a commercial electronics installer/maintainer of over 30 years and have used many Jameco products without failure.

Good wall adapter, works as expected. Can't find anything wrong with it. I was using this for a phono preamp bipolar supply. NOTE: This adapter is outputs 18V AC (!). As someone else mentioned, this *will not work* for 18V DC usage. Read the item description carefully before buying to make sure that it is what you need.

The description is of an AC adapter. Normally that means that you are getting an AC to DC adapter. In this case you are getting an AC to AC adapter. If that is what you need this is an excellent product.A word of caution, the output of this product is 18 VAC which is a double problem for devices that need DC Volts. First the polarity is wrong half the time. This will smoke many devices by itself. Second the voltage is 25 Volts peak in each polarity. Jameco Reliapro products are is quite excellent and I'm sure that this one is also, but it isn't what I needed. I am using another Jameco Reliapro AC to DC converter (Wall Wart) and I'm very happy with it.
