Not 1/2" thick. Measures ~11/16". Called Jaz Products, they confirmed that their 1/2" product is 11/16" thick. No explanation as to why they call it 1/2". Save your money. This is no thinner than the less expensive low profile options. This is my first and last purchase of a Jaz Product.
