Just thought to mention for the one reviewer that these speakers are configured for use for 70 volt, which allows for daisy-chaining many speakers in a string. I tried powering a similar JBL speaker using a home receiver and the output was low and sound quality was poor, so I called JBL and found out how to open the speaker and move a few wires so they then became a standard 150 watt, 8 ohm speaker (basically you are bypassing the built-in 70v transformer). When connected to a home receiver they came alive and sounded fantastic! I have since done this "mod" for a few customers with great success.

These speakers are JBL which is a superior brand of speaker. However, these in particular are not meant for home use. They are meant for commercial use and are not as clear sounding for home use. Also, have had to get a super powerful amplifier to power them. If I turn them on in too many rooms and just a little too loud I have to go adjust volume and cut speakers of in some locations. Its a super pain!!!
