These fit my average 4.5 yo very well, and he does not mind wearing them. My son is learning to ice skate and we put these over his snow pants and jacket. The pads will also fit well on his skin in the summer when learning to ride his bike without training wheels. I bought a small. Fantastic do not buy anything else. The bag the pads come with is perfect for storing the little pads.

J’ai acheté ce produit pour ma fille de 6ans qui est assez petites. Les poignets sont bien ajustés. Pour les protecteurs de genoux et coudes, ils sont un peu grand! La qualité du produit est excellente!

I got this set for my 4 yr old as I was sick and tired of buying the glove, knee and elbow set that is pretty cheap but falls apart after 3 uses. While this does fit my daughter fine, she can't wear the hand part for her bicycle or scooter. The big plastic piece is so large it gets in the way. It will be great for rollerskating but they shouldn't advertise that this is for a bicycle. My daughter is petite and in the lower % for weight and there is plenty of room for growth but it does fit correctly, the velcro is at the tightest fit. Now I have to order something else for her hands and will have to probably buy another set. Frustrating

Put these through their first real test by taking my 5 year old daughter on the concrete to learn how to roller skate. She took numerous falls without scraping anything but her thumb! Yay!The fit was about spot-on for my a bit larger than average girl. (I also got a pair for my smaller than average 2 year old and while they did slide around a bit, I was able to adjust enough to keep her reasonably protected with these pads)The reason for the loss of one star is because during one of my 5 year old falls a plastic connector on the knee pad jabbed into her leg causing a painful deep bruise - however turning the pad upsidedown so the connector was on the inside of her leg instead remedied this problem. Not a huge deal. I figured there'd be some injuries, I just didn't think they'd come from the pads used to protect her.Over all - they protected both my girls from the sidewalk, absorbed some good falls, fit well, and held up against my 2 year old dragging them along the concrete when she decided to crawl because skating got too hard. I would recommend these for other youngsters.

I got these for my granddaughters to use with the kick scooters at Grandma's house. They are very well made. These fit the 39 lb., 42" tall six year-old just right at the tightest placement. The elbow guards were a little loose yet for the 35 lb. 36" tall four year-old. The youngest will be four years old in a month, he wrist guards, and the elbow guards are a little too large for her 29 lb. 32" frame. The knee pads stay in place well. Obviously, since these are all at he tightest placement, they will fit much larger children. I bought the youth sizes for the 11 and 9 year olds. These were just a very little too snug for the nine year old, but he is very thin also.

Look nice but leave marks and don't really adjust that well. Kept falling and needed to tighten so as to stay stable. But my daughter's legs felt numb due to luck of blood circulation. So there is no upside on this product and it is highly over priced!

Purchased this set for my 6 year old, and they fit perfectly. However there isn't enough Velcro on the top strap of the knee pads for her to grow into. There is JUST enough room for them to strap on comfortably for now, but it is at its maximum adjustment. It is an easy fix though. I can add more Velcro later on when needed.Overall, good quality and good price. Shipped for free with Amazon prime and received within a couple days.Would definitely recommend them :)

Bottomline:BUY IT if you want a fairly priced, well constructed, anatomically correct and secure knee/elbow pad/wrist protector for a child less than 60 lbs.Dont buy it if your child is more than 60 lbs.I bought this set for my 8.75 yo daughter who is about 55lbs after I purchased the top rated Mongoose set as I realized it does not have a wrist protector which is very important as she was learning to skateboard and rollerblade at the same time.Materials used:The main protection is made, I think, from the same material as my black kitchen plastic laddle set, strong enough for protection and flexible to absorb some of the impact. The wrist protection has a strip of fake leather around the thumb and the rest is made of fabric that is probably the same material as a running shoe and the inside of a helmet.Design:I was surprised to see that the set is a little bit anatomically correct. The wrist protector curves about 10-15 degrees and follows the natural curve of the palm when in neutral position. The knee and elbow pads are also curved about the same amount and I think they right to do so because the elbows and knees are slightly bent when skateboarding and rollerblading but it still allows you to straighten your elbows and knees when you want to. The elbow and knee pad are also wider on the elbow and knee itself and tapers up and down on the elbow and knee respectively, effectively protecting the area above the elbow and the small bump under your knee (tibial tubercle) which, when you think about it, are the areas that actually hit the ground when falling (aside from the knee and elbow)! Finally, I love the elastic band around the elbows and knees because it helps keep the pads in place while you tighten it with the velcro.Price:For all the features noted above, I think it is fairly priced.Overall, I thinknits a fairly priced, well constructed, anatomically correct and secure knee/elbow pad/wrist protector for my daughter which I think she can use until she is 60 lbs.

Really good quality pads. My son is 5 years old and was able to use all of the pads. The knee pads were a bit big but still fit. I think it would be just perfect when he's wearing jeans once the weather cools down. I think it's sufficiently adjustable for my son to use it for a number of years. The quality of the padding looks like it will protect him as he starts skateboarding and bike stunts. The JBM pads are in a different class from the kids pads sold at Target/Walmart. They seem to be better than the Razor pad sets as well.

These are wearable (inserting the arms and legs through) then strapping on the Velcro for security. If he wasn't inserting/ wearing them, they would run a tad too big for my 5 yr old boy. He is about 85 percentile so up there with some 6 yr olds. But based on how loose it is, this would fit better with mid 6 yr to late 7 yr old that are mid/average size(?). The curvature around the elbows and knees are nice. The plastic seems thick and sturdy enough to protect. If I have him in longer clothing, I can just wrap it over the clothing without having him insert his limbs, but I may have to sew on extra velcro to secure it better. I have not used the wrist guards yet since it was mostly for bike riding but size would still correlate to mid 6 yr to late 7 yr old that are mid/average size(?)
