The 8.5" x 11" JBM Packaging Glassine Paper Sheets have become a favorite of mine because they are versatile papers. I've used them in bookbinding, as inserts for journals and even custom envelopes. The paper has a waxy feel and doesn't take ink well, but it does fold nicely with crisp edges for inserts or envelopes. I'm quite pleased with this paper, as I'm aware of its limitations, and I definitely recommend adding it to your collection.

I was glad to get it precut but then realized it’s not very handy. It’s 8x10 so it’s very hard to use on anything larger than a 5x7 work of art if you intend to tape it down. Still a good product but I wound up buying a roll for 8x10 and larger works of art.

The paper was of good quality, but the packaging was poor and the sheets had wrinkles due to the damp weather. I was very disappointed.

A little expensive, but the sheets are cleanly cut, flat, and packaged securely.

This is exactly what I was looking for and very reasonably priced. I use it in all my mixed media artwork. It is transparent when wet and takes ahold of acrylic paint and glue.

I love glassine paper envelopes and after finding this type of paper offered in sheets knew I had to pick some up to play around with. I love working on junk journals and different papers and mediums always make me happy. This paper didn't disappoint.Pros:This is well constructed paper, sized as advertised. I found it decently thick and difficult to tear, but cut easily and should not pose an issue on a cutting machine like a Cricut. It had a general smooth slick slightly reflect surface typical of glassine paper. This printed FABULOUS with my black ink HP laser jet printed as shown in my black and white prints. While it did curl slightly from heat during printing, this was minimal and was quickly dissipated when the sheet cooled. It ran through my printer fine with out snagging or catching. Using this style of printer I achieved clear crisp images with no ink bleed or smearing. It appears that laser jet is the way to go when printing on this paper. This paper offers a slightly translucent appearance which increases when glued. I used a basic glue stick to adhere it over a bar code (poison label photo) and also over basic scrap booking paper (hand written lettering photo) with lovely results. It glued well using a basic glue stick and I haven't had issue with it peeling up or coming loose.Cons:While this also ran through my Canon iP8720 printer fine, I found that the ink bled and took a while to dry. Images were not as crisp so this paper does NOT perform well with inkjet style printers. This paper does NOT perform well with drawing inks or markers. Again, the ink tends to bleed and takes a while to dry making writing and drawing on this paper with this type of medium a challenge. It can be done but you will need to take care when doing so.Pencil also does not show well on this paper, at least using a #2 style graphite. I suspect, because of it's smoothness that softer pencils may also smear. This might be fun to use with softer pencil leads if you enjoy blending, but you probably will have to set it with a clear acrylic finishing spray to seal it.This is actually pretty neat paper. It does have it's limitations but also does present unique qualities with those issues allowing for different crafting approaches (like shading, blending and smearing). Naturally, this paper would work well for invitations and cards, even book end pages, but also is a great well constructed paper that offers some pretty neat crafting possibilities with paper craft projects like junk journals. I love this paper and really enjoy working with it. At the present price of $15.99 (+ additional $2 off coupon) it's well with in fair market value and even more worth the cost. Love it!

JBM Packaging Glassine Paper Sheets, 8.5" x 11", Pack of 100 Transparent PaperThese are quality peices of glassine paper. They work great for making glassine bags, covering artwork, and for mixed media artwork. The size 8.5 x 11 will also go into your average printer.Thank you for reading my review and looking at my photos of this product. I hope you found it helpful!REVIEW PHILOSOPHY: Vine reviewers in the USA do not recieve free items as they do in other countries. I only review a product if it is something I am capable of critically evaluating through comparison, testing and use. This means I have experience of using similar items; or that I have equipment or tools that I can test it with; or that I have an upcoming need so I can actually use. I am as selective about getting an item to review as I would be about purchasing that same item, so yes, I expect it to be a good product. My reviews are NOT based on packaging or if it was delivered timely.
