Works as expected. I actually use a BCD with an integrated air source, so I use this to hold my primary reg in place while getting set up on the boat.

This is small enough that you could keep it in you BCD pocket as a backup octo holder and be ready if (when) your holder breaks. all you do is wrap the strap around a D ring or lanyard and push the square part through the round part and you are all set to insert the octo. This is cheap and simple backup insurance for your octo holder.

I've seen numerous diver with these holders and they are on all of the rental gear at the shop near me. I've yet to actually go on a dive with it given the lakes are frozen, but its held up great in the closet!
