At the same time, the solid brass arm will gently turn to face the direction of the wind.

I bought this from a different company two years ago. We live in Kansas with a lot of wind. When it was intact, it was great, but it’s broken twice now, which renders the spinner which visually tracks wind speed useless. The company I bought it from no longer sells them. I would not recommend if you routinely get wind gusts over 20mph.

Got this wind vane as a gift and set up in yard. after 2 years it broke. Weems & Plath says there is a lifetime warranty but would not honor the warranty because I could not provide proof of purchase (got as gift, had no receipt). Also said the break was not a manufacturing defect and wasn't covered. They were unresponsive and difficult to deal with. Not what you would expect from a precision and quality company. Beware of this company.
