These are very heavy duty. The bolts are metric, but a 1/2" drill bit was just the right size for a little bit of "wiggle room" but not too much. The nuts are flanged and "nylock" type.With the backing plate underneath and the two through-bolts, I'm quite sure they will be stronger than welded-on hooks. Well, if I welded them on anyway :-)The bolts are 2-1/4" long - too long for my application - so I had to shorten them, but aside from that, a very straightforward installation.

I have a TYM tractor and bucket. The top edge of the bucket is much smaller when compared to JD. Smaller bottom plate allows plenty of room for installation on my bucket.

Hooks appear to be decently welded. Power coat looks good. Dimensions are way off. The are 3.25" not 2.56" as described. I ordered these just for the narrow base as my tractor bucket is not very wide at the top. A bit disappointing.

I mounted these on a Kubota L3800. If you plan on drilling the bucket you better have some good bits and use some oil as you drill. I'm blessed to have a plasma cutter and it made short work of making holes. On the first hook I used the drill to smooth out the holes because I don't have a steady hand and have a little trouble seeing while using the plasma cutter. On the second hook I said the heck with the drill because nobody is going to see the holes. I feel safer disconnecting the battery when using the plasma cutter on a vehicle. It doesn't take long and gives me some piece of mind. Put a piece of metal under the place where you are cutting the hole. I should have bought these a long time ago. The bolts are way longer than what is needed but it's not a problem because they aren't in the way of anything.
