This dust collector has a three phase motor designed for commercial use only. If you have a home shop like I do do not buy this unit. It will not work in normal US households which have single phase electricity. I bought the unit by mistake and Acme Tools was not willing to pay return shipping even when Amazon told them to pay it. DO NOT BUY FROM ACME TOOLS. The only reference to three phase electricity in the entire ad is 3PH in the ad title. The tech specs do not mention that the motor requires three phase electricity. If you need the 2 horsepower unit be sure to buy the unit with CK1 in the title. Better still, buy the 1.5HP unit that will run on both 110 and 220 single phase electricity.

The vortex design of this collection unit works great. I do not have to clean out the filter nearly as often as the older models.

This unit really sucks...literally. Easy assembly and connection. We have this directly connected to a 4x8 flatbed CNC Router. Mostly cutting pvc and aluminum, but our wasteboard is MDF and we occasionally have to mill that as well. The router is towards the back of our shop, and with this dust collector, there is NO ambient dust anywhere, on anything. The router is not isolated by a curtain or any other device, but even after cutting for days straight, there is no dust, except in the bag. Very pleased with the performance of this unit for the price. Losing the remote turn on with the 3 phase has not been a big deal. I'd rather have the extra CFM...
