We installed this stator in a brand new motor in June of 2022 trying to diagnose an issue we had with it running. It turned out not to be the issue, but we ran it anyway. This year, after only a few hours of use, the jet ski left us stranded on our lake. After having it looked over, we found that the screws that were factory installed in this stator had backed off allowing all of the coils to fall off. This ended up destroying the stator and messed up the internals of our flywheel. If you do buy this, make sure to check all of the hardware and use loctite if needed. Disappointed that it also hurt our flywheel.

Do not buy this stator. I'm not one to write amazon reviews so hopefully this says something. I bought this stator instead of other ones of similar price solely due to to the fact their shipping speed was faster than others. After installing it on my 1995 GTX 657x engine and then putting the flywheel on, the flywheel would make contact with the stator on the lower right hand side of the stator. I tried shifting the stator into any position the mounting holes would let me with no success. I took the stator back off and put on the factory stator and had no contact with the flywheel. I measured it with calipers and compared it to the factory stator and the outer dimensions were off by a few thousandths of an inch which is just enough to cause contact with the flywheel which, if I had fully installed everything, it would have grounded out and caused problems. I returned it to the seller and then bought one from Caltric. I just installed the Caltric stator and it fits perfectly with no rubbing on the flywheel. All I have to say is, wait the extra couple days for shipping and get the Caltric one and not this one and save yourself the hassle of dealing with returns and waiting for another one to come.
