As noted in other reviews, the compression clamps on the suction hose do not seal adequately. Thus causing pump to suck air and not draft. While taking apart to rework as mentioned in other reviews, found the barb fittings to be undersized to the hose used. Garbage design. Hoping that I can seal the inside with Silicon then re-clamp with hose clamps. Don't buy if you don't want to rework fittings.

Cheap workmanship. I had to cut off fittings and put new hose clamps on the suction line. Kept having problems priming the pump because air leakage. Finally got that fixed and discharge line ruptured going to sprinkler. I have the same type of discharge hoses 10 years old and they are doing fine.

Both hoses worked well although the 25' discharge hose is way too short to be useful by itself. I had to purchase two additional 50' discharge hoses to barely get from my pool to the street. The pickup strainer threads do not match the threads on the pickup hose which left me more than a little miffed. One would think that buying all three items together as a package would insure that all of the pieces actually work with each other but it seems not in this case. The strainer is a cheap piece of junk anyway and I ended up having to spend another ~$100 on two additional pickup strainers (standard and top hole skimmer) to drain my pool without picking up something that could ruin my semi-trash pump. All that said the hoses worked well and did what they were supposed to do so I give 3 stars ... begrudgingly.

Everything's good it works fine except for when I'm attaching the green hose to the metal filter that barely fit it for some reason like barely could threaded on
