Use a small prying tool to pop the ends off the shifter mount. Screwdriver and some small nibble pliers to pull the original pieces apart. Use only the flathead to break some of the plastic to remove the part. Don't use loctite or glue when you install the new part, use grease on the threads. Remember to reset the shifter cable.

These worked on my 6 speed swapped big turbo cobalt ss as well! Just remember to save the little white plastic cup inside the stock shift cable end bushings.

For my 2016 Focus ST, it works exactly like they advertised. It got rid of the slop in the cables, worth the low cost! If you’re doing this upgrade, it’ll help to Havel a dremel tool though, otherwise you’ll be digging at the OEM part with pliers. Also, be sure to apply blue loctite, or it can work itself loose.

So great quality, however came with no instructions not did it tell you you have to try the old bushing to get the green locking pieces out to use in the shift bushing. Also did not tell you to use loc-tite, or to put your shifter in neutral or put in 4th gear when resetting. So biggest take away, needs directions. Also it is not a quick thing to do. Do after work on Friday so the loc-tite can cure.

This swaps out both of the shifter bushings under the intake. Everything fits perfectly and the bushings are a high quality part.Great time to put on the short shifter plate at the same time!
