Don't like this product. It's a hard plastic and I was expecting something that absorbed some of the bump from a boat. It transfers it all.

Description as marine grade vinyl poor. It is a very hard plastic with no give or compression. No shock absorption need for a dock bumper.Had to pay shipping to return.

Yea it's hard plastic but many bumpers etc are this way... You can slam the crap out of it and it doesn't break, bend or Marr your boat, isn't that the objective?I used 3/16 bit pilot hole into my metal beans then used 1/4" self tapping screws "Teks brand at Lowe's" to secure with the 4 provided slots. Also used stainless steel finish washers.. Worked well and fully covers my 8 inch beams.
