The switch was a breeze to install and works beautifully. Our steamer is back alive. Thanks.

The switch failed on my Jiffy steamer after about twenty years, so I guess I can’t complain too much about quality. I was glad to be able to get it quickly and replace the old one, which took less than two minutes. Now we’re good to go, hopefully for another twenty years!

Simple part goes bad over time and replacing it after proper diagnosis saves you a lot and still working great after year of replacement

Original switch lasted 4 years this replacement only lasted a year and had to be replaced again Poor quality considering it’s used in a home not commercially.

So my dad has this garment steamer, right? And the switch broke, so he was just plugging it in to turn it on and unplugging it to turn it off, which is okay, but not exactly convenient, and can be downright annoying in rooms where the sockets are in inconvenient places. My kid brother suggested they plug it into a surge strip and use the surge strip's switch, which was nice and very convenient, but surge strips, as you know, have many sockets, and it became, to say the least, confusing, when Dad would sensibly flip the strip switch to shut off the garment steamer AND everything else that random people had absentmindedly plugged in because the strip was there. (Seriously, people will just gang right up on a surge strip these days. My husband and I each carry one when we travel, and it's hilarious to see like six people with chargers introducing themselves and buying you a coffee for a spot on your pluggy-strip.) So I ordered a new switch, had it sent to Mom and Dad's. Dad put the new switch in, and the garment steamer works perfectly again. It made Dad really happy. It's always nice to fix something that's broken, even when it's only sort of broken and it's something so little.
