These used to be better when they were round.. The value was closer to 470 K.. They've changed the design lately.. And when I received these I put them on the meter and they're reading about 440K.. the old ones actually read higher than 470K.. So they were brighter.. If You are putting these in a volume pedal and you need something to be not as shrill.. These may be the ticket.. Of course there's always the chance that I got a Bad batch.. If a pot says it's 250 K? it's usually not.. But it's Supposed to be within the range of error..But 440k is going to be a little too dark for my application.. Now the good news is these pots last literally almost forever.. I was replacing it with a pot that I've had in a pedal for 14 years.. And I literally was using it every other day.. So just keep in mind that these may be a little too dark for some applications
