A few rough edges, but over all very functional shelf. I am not using it for the device that it was designed for, but I use it with a 2.5Gb switch that fits right in the opening. The shelf is well made of a thick sheet metal. I just had to dull some edges where there were few burrs left after cutting. Otherwise, great shelf

We're using this for another rack appliance, but it's still a great fit. Being able to use the hinge to swing it out and check on connections is a big win. The appliance used to live on a full rack shelf and was a pain to check/adjust things, and then when you shoved things back into place you'd still worry that you dislodged something. This small shelf is just the right size and leaves things open to help with cooling. It comes with cage nuts/bolts to go into the bucket of other server hardware. It also comes with a couple of hook/loop ties and good tie points for locking down your power supply. It fits great in the rack, was an easy install, and makes life just a bit easier, big win.

I don't have a SonicWall unit, but I do have a TP-Link ER7206 router. It's the same width and height, but not as deep. It also doesn't have an external power supply. Despite these differences, this is a great shelf for my router. I used double sided tape to hold it down (since the included mounting screw doesn't work with my router) and it's great. The hinges are handy if I need to work on things and the overall look is nice in my rack. It's definitely nicer than the plain shelf I used before.

I purchased this for a different firewall, and I found this actually worked wonderfully. I was able to cut the metal and fit it to my needs easily, but the kit remained stable and strong. I would recommend this for compatible models, but if you're in a pinch for something else, I wouldn't be surprised if you could make this work.

This kit is designed to fit in a 19" rack and provides a sturdy and reliable platform for the firewall. The build quality is good, and the materials are well-manufactured.I like the hinged design, which allows for easy access to the back of the unit. This is particularly useful for making adjustments or checking connections without having to completely remove the firewall from the rack. It’s great for keeping the workspace neat and organized, as you can tilt the unit to reach the ports without any hassle.PRO: The ventilation slots are strategically placed to promote airflow, which helps keep the device cool during intensive usage. This was a concern for me since the firewall generates heat, but I’ve had no issues with overheating, even during heavy traffic periods.

I didn't buy this to hold a SonicWall Firewall in my rack. I got this to mount my Verizon Fios ONT and its power supply on my rack. It works pretty well, but with a little modification, it works great. I ended up extending the front opening by 3/8 inch to get a perfect fit. I also drilled some holes in the shelf to secure some wire ties and Velcro strips to hold everything in place. Perfect.

I'm actually using this small little shelf to hold my cable modem in my rack so it fits the rest of the equipment and the cutout on the front lets me see the status of the modem lights without having to peek around or look into the rack itself. The build quality is very nice and it has all the hardware included needed. It functions exactly as intended and the size is perfect for fitting into the rack and blending in with the rest of the hardware.

Got this as a small shelf to mount some items similar in size to a Sonicwall. It is constructed from quality steel and is sturdy enough to support most small networking gear that does not have a native rack mount.
